The pixel-sorting effect was actually done in Blender, which (whilst it is a very odd way of doing it) gave me such much freedom to create and I ended up doing a lot of different version as it was still very fast to render thanks to using Eevee.
As there weren't any ideas as to what the animation should be/include, I decided to create a group of animations so that WLF could mix and match and/or hopefully get inspired and go from there.
As this is on the topic of WLF: here's a rough animation for ideas on a logo-animation rework. We didn't get the time to redo WLF's logo in the end, but I still wanted to post this. (There is a jump at 10s, as I did a partial re-render)
SSFF: partial Blender (rings spinning, pixel-sorting), partial After Effects (mock-ups, text animation, glitch transition)
WLF: entirely Blender
