So yesterday I started work on a project I've had in mind for a while since I first heard this song. I spent most of the day drawing and dealing with a laggy PC until I eventually had this little scene done. The vast majority of my animations are motion graphics so I'm still properly learning hand-drawn animations and that may be obvious in my smear frames. I prefer low frame animation, partly due to the significantly lower drawing times but it's just always something I've liked when done right. Once I had drawn all the parts I took them into After Effects with each layer separate, added extra movements to the hands (15fps), added blur transitions, eye blink, CC, toning, and effects to sell the scene a bit more. I've done about 5 seconds since this render but at this stage that 5 seconds extra would ruin the flow so I've chosen not to include that here.
Also I'm super aware that the blink isn't covering the edges, just didn't notice until I rendered it and it's the kind of thing that would take a few seconds to edit out later on.
